Yasmine Djellal is the Founder and Principal of Third Culture Comms, a boutique strategic communications and narrative advisory firm serving institutions, government entities, businesses, and founders across global markets. Based in the Washington, D.C. region, she advises leaders on strategic positioning, executive communications, and cross-border strategic communications..


With more than 15 years of experience spanning international development, public sector advisory, and corporate communications, Yasmine Djellal has held senior communications roles within the World Bank Group and supported U.S. government-funded initiatives across diverse regional contexts. Her work has spanned digital transformation, education, environment and climate, fragility and conflict-inflicted areas, gender, governance, institutional reform initiatives, law and justice, private sector development, trade and competitiveness, and youth empowerment—helping organizations translate complex priorities into clear, credible, and high-impact communications frameworks.


Her advisory approach bridges institutional strategy and market positioning. She works with leaders navigating growth, global expansion, stakeholder engagement, and long-term credibility, ensuring communications align with business objectives and institutional realities.


Institutional & Global Experience


Prior to founding Third Culture Comms, Yasmine Djellal held senior communications roles at the World Bank Group, where she advised the Senior Vice President and General Counsel on external engagements, executive messaging, and high-level institutional communications. She led communications for the World Bank Legal Vice Presidency and supported leadership across multiple global practices, shaping strategy across complex policy and development portfolios.


Following her tenure at the World Bank Group, Yasmine Djellal transitioned to the U.S. private sector, serving as Director of Communications at Nathan Associates and later at The Cadmus Group. In these roles, she led corporate and external communications strategy, supported U.S. government-funded programs, and strengthened institutional positioning across public and private sector environments.


Over more than a decade working across multilateral institutions, government agencies, and private advisory firms, Yasmine Djellal has engaged across Africa; Asia and the Pacific; Europe; Latin America and the Caribbean; and the Middle East. Her experience includes direct collaboration with multilateral institutions and donor-funded initiatives across diverse policy and market environments.


Her background in international development and public sector communications informs her strategic lens today, particularly in contexts where policy, governance, business, and narrative intersect.
